The Special Rate clause defines a unique or preferential pricing arrangement that differs from standard rates typically applied in a contract. Special Rate. Teachers whose spouses also are IPS employees are eligible for the same coverage options and the same Board contribution as other teachers; provided, however, that a teacher cannot be both an employee and a dependent at the same time.

Special Rate. The parties recognize that nurses working with residents or inmates at certain state institutions or facilities face a high potential for injury due to the nature of their employment. Therefore, a nurse of any Department of Corrections institutions, Department of Human Services facilities, or the Minnesota Veterans Home who, in the ordinary course of employment, while acting in a reasonable and prudent manner and in compliance with the established rules and procedures of the Appointing Authority, incurs a disabling injury stemming from the aggressive and/or intentional and overt act of a person who is a resident or is in the custodial control of the institution, or which is incurred while attempting to apprehend or take into custody such inmate or resident, shall receive compensation in an amount equal to the difference between the nurse's regular rate of pay and benefits paid under workers compensation, without deduction from the nurse's accrued sick leave. Such compensation shall be used prior to receiving workers' compensation benefits and/or to supplement workers' compensation benefits and shall not exceed an amount equal to two hundred forty (240) times the nurse's regular hourly rate of pay per disabling injury.
Special Rate. Employees covered by this Agreement whose spouses also are IPS employees are eligible for the same insurance options and the same Board contribution as other employees covered by this Agreement; provided, however, that an employee covered by this Agreement cannot be both an employee and a dependent at the same time.
Special Rate.
A. The parties recognize that nurses working with residents or inmates at certain state institutions or facilities face a high potential for injury due to the nature of their employment. Such compensation shall be used prior to receiving workers' compensation benefits and/or to supplement workers' compensation benefits and shall not exceed an amount equal to three hundred (300) times the nurse's regular hourly rate of pay per disabling injury.
B. If the disabling injury referenced in Section A. requires the employee to seek medical attention during or immediately following their shift, they shall be compensated a lump sum payment for the time until admission and/or discharge not to exceed four (4) hours. If transport to a secondary medical facility is required, up to an additional four (4) hours shall be granted. This provision will sunset upon the ratification of the 2023-2025 contract.
Special Rate. When a kitchen is being used there is to be an employee of the cafeteria present. A special rate will be figured at time and one half per hour Monday through Saturday and double time on holidays and Sundays. This rate will be paid to employees who volunteer for functions that are not contiguous with the regular school day.
Special Rate. (A) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the Agreement, commencing within ten (10) business days following MCI's execution and delivery of this Amendment No. 3, which date will be determined by MCI in its sole discretion, and continuing through the end of the Service Term (including any extensions thereto), with respect to CLASSIC SWITCHLESS 1+ Service and CLASSIC SWITCHLESS TOLL FREE Service, Customer will receive the special rate (the "SPECIAL RATE") shown in Subpart (i) below. The Special Rate will not be subject to the applicable discount percentage set forth in the Agreement. All other rate will be as set forth in the Agreement.
(i) CLASSIC SWITCHLESS 1+ Service and CLASSIC SWITCHLESS TOLL FREE Service - Customers Intrastate rate for calls within Texas will be $[*****] per minute.
(B) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the TSA, MCI reserves the right to modify the Special Rate described in Subsection (A) above (which charge modifications shall not exceed then-current generally available MCI charges for comparable services), upon not less than thirty (30) calendar days' prior notice to Customer (facsimile being acceptable), which notice will state the effective date for the charge modification.
Special Rate. Dirty Work - an employee engaged in the physical handling, sorting and attempted recovery of broken and damaged stock within the recognised central damaged stock area shall be paid a dirty work allowance of 30 cents per hour for each hour so employed. This special rate is a flat payment and shall not be taken into account when calculating any other payment to which the employee may be entitled.
Special Rate. If a special terms sales slip shows a special rate, it means that the monthly periodic rate and corresponding annual percentage rate shown on the sales slip will be used to figure the finance/credit charge for the subaccount instead of the monthly periodic rate and annual percentage rate used for your regular subaccount. The balance on which the finance/credit charge is computed will be figured using the same method used for your regular subaccount. The finance/credit charge on a transaction in a special rate subaccount begins on the date the transaction is posted to your account unless you pay the new balance for the subaccount shown on the statement listing the transaction by the due date shown on each statement. REGULAR RATE. If a special terms sales slip says the rate is the regular rate, it means that the monthly periodic rate used in figuring the finance/credit charge for the subaccount and cor- responding annual percentage rate are the same as used for your regular subaccount. These rates may vary along with the rates for your regular subaccount. The balances on which the finance/credit charge is computed will be figured using the same method for your regular subaccount. The finance/credit charge on a transaction in a regular rate subaccount begins on the date the transaction is posted to your account unless you pay the new balance for the subaccount shown on the statement listing the transaction by the due date shown on each state- ment.
Special Rate. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the Amended and Restated Rate and Discount Schedule attached hereto, commencing with the Effective Date and continuing through the end of the Service Term, Customer will receive the special rate (the "SPECIAL RATE") shown below. The Special Rate will not be subject to the discount percentage set forth in the Amended and Restated Rate and Discount Schedule. All other rates will be as set forth in the Amended and Restated Rate and Discount Schedule. SWITCHED ACCESS Service (1+ and TOLL FREE) - Customer's Intrastate rate for 1+ and TOLL FREE calls within the State of Texas will be $0.1175.
C. DISCOUNT SCHEDULE/APPLICATION OF DISCOUNTS/RATES. Commencing with Customer's December, 1998 billing period (i.e., January, 1999 invoice), be parties agree to delete the Rate and Discount Schedule attached to the TSA in its entirety and replace said Schedule with the Amended and Restated Rate and Discount Schedule attached hereto.
