Solicitation of Bids. (a) Without assuming responsibilities of the Architect-Engineer, Contractor shall prepare invitations for bids, or requests for proposal when applicable, for all procurements of long lead items, materials and services, for subcontractor contracts and for site utilities. The Contractor shall obtain bids on all of the work, including third party bids on any work the Contractor desires to self-perform. The Contractor shall prepare and submits its own bids on any work it intends to self-perform. Such invitations for bids shall be prepared in accordance with the following guidelines:
Solicitation of Bids. 4.1. The Construction Manager shall prepare invitations for bids and shall solicit from the open marketplace for all procurement of long lead items, materials and services, for subcontractor contracts and for site utilities. In addition to open marketplace solicitation, the Construction Manager shall identify and specifically solicit bids from not less than three subcontractors who are known to him or have experience in projects of like nature and scope of the Work. The Design Professional shall assist the Construction Manager in the preparation of the bidding information, bidding forms and other bidding documents. The Owner shall have the right to review invitation for bids and bid packages prior to distribution to bidders.
Solicitation of Bids. The CONSULTANT shall prepare bid specifications and packages as directed by CITY and make them available for distribution to all prospective bidders. The CONSULTANT shall make copies of complete bid packages available at its office nearest to the project during normal business hours for all prospective bidders. The CONSULTANT shall be reimbursed by the City for the actual cost of reproduction of the documents contained within the bid package as a reimbursable item pursuant to the terms of this agreement. The CONSULTANT shall assist the CITY in obtaining bids for each prime contract for construction and for the purchase of materials, equipment or services. Such assistance shall include the attendance of pre-bid conferences; the maintenance of a record of all prospective bidders to whom bidding documents have been issued; delivery of construction documents to prospective bidders and the receipt and processing of payments for bidding documents;
Solicitation of Bids. Subdivider shall solicit sealed bids for the construction of Project in accordance with all Required Contracting Procedures. With notice of at least five (5) Working Days, Subdivider shall notify City of the time and place of each bid opening. Subdivider shall work with City’s Purchasing and Contracting Department to ensure that bids are solicited in the manner required in accordance with the Required Contracting Procedures..
Solicitation of Bids. .1 The Construction Manager shall enter into Contracts with the firm who submits the lowest, responsive and responsible bid. The Construction Manager shall advertise according to SBBC policies as amended from time to time for bids on Document 00101 at least three (3) times, seven (7) days apart, and with the third (3rd) advertisement prior to a pre-bid conference if applicable and at least seven (7) days prior to the bid opening. Written proposals based on drawings and/or specifications shall be submitted to the Construction Manager. The written proposals shall all be opened at the usual location for bid openings. A tabulation of the results shall be furnished by Construction Manager to the Owner.

The Total Program Manager shall comply fully with SREF, as amended, including but not limited to preparation and issuance of bid packages, opening and evaluation of bids from at least two bidders for each trade package, and provide recommendations to the SBBC. (SREF 1999 4.1(6)(B)(f)3.c) The Total Program Manager shall also comply with School Board Policy 7004 such that an advertisement is placed in at least two local newspapers (Sentinel and Herald) and one of the designated SBBC staff in Policy 7004 and two additional SBBC staff are present at the public bid opening. The requirement for two bids does not apply in the case of sole source manufactured buildings as set forth in the Total Program Manager’s response to the RFP.

Solicitation of Bids. 12.1 The purpose of this Section is to ensure that CONSTRUCTION MANAGER makes a genuine effort to stimulate subcontractor interest in the Project and maximize participation of potential qualified subcontractors in the bidding process. CONSTRUCTION MANAGER shall develop in writing subcontract bidding procedures for OWNER’S review and approval, which procedures shall include the requirement that all bids be received in sealed, written form. Once those procedures have been approved by OWNER, CONSTRUCTION MANAGER shall not deviate from such procedures without obtaining OWNER’S prior written consent. Upon CONSTRUCTION MANAGER’S receipt of such sealed bids and at reasonable intervals, CONSTRUCTION MANAGER shall notify OWNER of the date, time and place within Xxx County, Florida, of each and every bid opening, and such bid opening shall occur in the presence of an authorized representative of OWNER. Further, at all times OWNER shall have access to, and the right to require copies of, all correspondence, records, files and other bid documents (including all bid responses) with respect to the bidding process.

The Construction Manager shall obtain bids from subcontractors, vendors, consultants and from suppliers of materials or equipment fabricated to a special design for the work. The Construction Manager shall strive to receive at least three competitive bids per trade package. Should the nature of the trade package prohibit three competitive bids, the Construction Manager shall notify the Owner in writing as to the reason and offer suggestions, if any, to create trade interest.
