Society Representatives. A Society representative will be granted reasonable time off from normal duties and have normal base earnings maintained while acting as a Society representative in any of the steps of the grievance procedure or when required by Management to be a participant in arbitration proceedings under Articles 16, 19, 20 and 64. Provided the ability of the organizational unit to adequately perform its functions is not placed in jeopardy, OPG will agree to release the delegate to attend and will maintain their normal base earnings. iii. OPG will be required to pay no more than a total of five (5) days of such release per calendar year for delegates. iv. It is understood this process is not intended to apply to delegates who are grievors in the matter to be arbitrated.

Society Representatives. The Employer agrees to recognize three Society Representatives, as defined in Article 3.5 and the Society Staff Officer as defined in Article 3.4, for the purpose of dealing with Society business as provided under this Collective Agreement. a) The Society shall keep the Employer notified in writing of the names of Society Representatives as well as the effective date of their respective appointments. Should there be any changes to the Society Representatives, the Society will advise the Employer within one week. b) A Society Representative or designate may assist in the presentation of any grievance. c) It is agreed that Society Representatives who are Employees, have their regular duties and responsibilities to perform for the Employer and shall not leave their regular duties without first obtaining permission from their Immediate Supervisor. Such permission shall not be unreasonably denied. When resuming their regular duties and responsibilities, the Society Representative shall again report to their Immediate Supervisor. d) A Society Representative shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent in performing the above duties during their regular scheduled working hours.

All requests concerning this agreement shall be directed to the City Representative.

  • Union Representatives Upon mutual agreement of the parties, the number may be altered from time to time. Where a Union Representative commences on an extended leave of absence, the Union will endeavour to find a temporary replacement for the Union Representative from within the Home.

  • Health and Safety Representatives The Employer and its Employees will comply with Part 7 of the OHS Act – Representation of Employees in relation to the establishment of designated work groups and the election of Health and Safety Representatives.
