Whereas this principle has been recognized for some time, the time limits involved have not previously been defined. Policy 1. Release from employment of Employees with long- term disabilities routinely occurs thirty (30) months (two and one-half (2 ½) years) after commencement of the disability. Two and one half (2 ½) years represents the initial six (6) months sick leave under Article 15.02 and two (2) years of long-term disability (LTD) benefits. At the option of the Employer, release may occur after (a) Two (2) years of LTD benefits and (b) A medical assessment by the LTD provider showing that the individual is totally disabled from any occupation and has no good prognosis for return to work within a reasonable period of time. 2. Earlier release from employment may be considered prior to two and one-half (2 ½) years after the commencement of the disability, if there is a medical prognosis by the Employee’s personal physician, a physician appointed or approved by UNB, or the LTD provider’s medical assessments, indicating that the Employee will not be able to return to work before the end of the two and one- half (2 ½) year period. Such potential earlier release of Employees with long term disabilities shall be taken in consultation with Human Resources & Organizational Development, the Union, and the relevant manager, subject to approval of the respective campus Vice-President. SKILLS UPGRADING. (a) Where the Company requires employees to upgrade their skills in order to operate or maintain new equipment, the cost of such required training shall be paid by the Company and the employee shall be paid for the time of such training falling outside of their normal working hours at their straight time rate of pay. All employees who require training to operate or maintain new equipment shall be trained by a certified trainer provided by the Company. No employee will operate any new equipment without proper training. All employees will have documentation or be documented showing that they have been trained up to the standards set out by the Company. Proper training means all material that relates to the new equipment and hands on experience with the new operating equipment.
SKILLS UPGRADING. 1) Where the Company requires an employee to upgrade their skills in order to operate or maintain new equipment, the cost of such required training shall be paid by the Company and the employee shall be paid for the time of such training falling outside of their normal working hours at their straight time rate of pay.

  • Upgrading You may request an Upgrade. For purposes of an Upgrade request, each individual who constitutes the Depositor under the agreement for Retail Direct Services is considered a required Signing Officer for purposes of acceptance of the Upgrade, and You agree to ensure that each such individual agrees to the Upgrade and accepts the terms of this Agreement before initiating the Upgrade request. Implementation of an Upgrade is subject to the approval of the Financial Institution. We may rely on Your Upgrade request when evidenced by a single Signing Officer and treat such Upgrade request as binding on You. If We then implement the Upgrade, this Agreement is deemed to be accepted by and binding on You. You agree to ensure that all such individuals provide timely evidence of their acceptance of this Agreement to Us. While this Agreement is Provisionally Accepted, one of the following states will apply:

  • Required Coverages For Generation Resources Of 20 Megawatts Or Less Each Constructing Entity shall maintain the types of insurance as described in section 11.1 paragraphs (a) through (e) above in an amount sufficient to insure against all reasonably foreseeable direct liabilities given the size and nature of the generating equipment being interconnected, the interconnection itself, and the characteristics of the system to which the interconnection is made. Additional insurance may be required by the Interconnection Customer, as a function of owning and operating a Generating Facility. All insurance shall be procured from insurance companies rated “A-,” VII or better by AM Best and authorized to do business in a state or states in which the Interconnection Facilities are located. Failure to maintain required insurance shall be a Breach of the Interconnection Construction Service Agreement.
