Common use of Sick Leave During Leave of Absence Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave During Leave of Absence. When an Employee is approved for a leave of absence for any reason, or is temporarily laid off on account of lack of work and returns to work upon expiration of such leave of absence, they shall not accrue sick leave credit for the period of such absence, with the exception of pregnancy/parental leave, but shall retain their cumulative credit, if any, existing at the time of such leave or temporary lay-off.
