Common use of Sick Leave During Leave of Absence Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave During Leave of Absence. (F/T) When an Employee is given leave of absence without pay for any reason, or is laid off on account of lack of work, he/she shall not continue to accumulate sick leave and shall not be entitled to receive pay for sickness for the period of such absence, but shall retain his/her cumulative credit, if any, existing at the time of such leave or lay-off.

(F/T) When an Employee employee is given leave of absence without pay for any reason, reason or is laid off on account of lack of workwork and returns to work upon expiration of such leave of absence, he/she etc., they shall not continue to accumulate receive sick leave and shall not be entitled to receive pay for sickness credit for the period of such absence, absence but shall retain his/her their cumulative credit, if any, existing at the time of such leave or lay-off.

(F/T) When an Employee employee is given a leave of absence without pay for any reason, reason or is laid off on account of lack of work and returns to work, he/upon expiration of such leave of absence, she shall not continue to accumulate sick leave and shall not be entitled to receive pay for sickness for the period of such absence, but shall retain his/her cumulative credit, if any, existing accumulated credits at the time of such leave or lay-offoff providing no break of service occurs. An employee shall continue to accumulate sick leave credits for leave of absence or lay-off of one (1) month or less.
