Sick Leave Bonus Days. Employees who work three (3) consecutive calendar months (Jan. - Mar., April-June, July-Sept., Oct. - Dec.) in the calendar year without missing more than three (3) scheduled work time hours for reasons other than paid vacations, comp time or holidays, approved bereavement leave, military leave, personal leave, sick leave bonus days or jury duty will be eligible for eight (8) hours of time off with pay, not to exceed thirty-two (32) hours bonus time earned in any calendar year. Employees who are granted a bonus day each of the four (4) calendar quarters shall be granted one extra bonus day for the following year. At the end of the calendar year, employees may elect to carry over a maximum five (5) bonus days into the following calendar year. All bonus days banked as of 3/1/05 may remain banked. All sick leave bonus days shall be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time that does not cause overtime.

If the Communications Center is scheduled to be at minimum staffing levels, requested time off will be granted on a first come basis, as long as it only causes staffing to be one (1) below minimum staffing standards (i.e. one slot of overtime).
Sick Leave Bonus Days. 20.01 Each employee shall be granted one (1) bonus day off with pay for not using sick leave time in any quarterly period. Quarterly periods under this Article shall be January through March, April through June, July through September and October through December. A bonus sick leave day shall equate to 12 hours per quarter for shift personnel and 8 hours per quarter for 40 hour personnel to be paid in compensatory time or cash, at the employee’s option.   • Sick Leave Payout No cash payment for unused sick leave will be paid to any employee leaving the service of the Employer.

  • Sick Leave Incentive The City will institute a sick leave incentive based on the usage of the bargaining unit; further, the City will pay each person who qualifies during January of each year. The incentive will be calculated and monitored by the Personnel Department and will be based on the pay periods during a calendar year. The incentive shall be awarded only when the bargaining unit's average sick leave usage is less than the City average and the following conditions are met: When the bargaining unit's sick leave usage is greater than forty (40) hours but less than the City average, the City will pay each member using between zero (0) and sixteen (16) hours of sick leave, eight (8) hours pay and any member using more than sixteen (16) but equal to or less than twenty-four (24) hours, four (4) hours pay. When the bargaining unit's average sick leave usage is equal to or less than forty (40) hours, the City will pay each member who used between zero (0) and sixteen (16) hours, sixteen (16) hours of pay at their current hourly rate. Those members who used more than sixteen (16) but equal to or less than twenty-four (24) hours, will receive eight (8) hours of pay.
