Short-term Sickness and Injury. Short-term sickness and injury coverage up to two hundred and eight (208) days shall be provided by the City. Employees shall draw normal wages from the first day of sickness or injury until the end of the two hundred and eight (208) day period. All deductions or other adjustments by legislation shall continue as normal.

  • Short Term Paid Leaves The parties agree that the issue of Short Term Paid Leaves had been addressed at the Central Table and the provisions shall remain status quo to provisions in current local collective agreements. For clarity, any leave of absence in the 2008-12 Collective Agreement, that utilizes deduction from sick leave, for reasons other than personal illness shall be granted without loss of salary or deduction from sick leave, to a maximum of five (5) days per school year. Local collective agreements that have more than (5) days shall be limited to five (5) days. These days shall not be used for the purpose of sick leave nor shall they be accumulated from year-to-year. Such provisions shall not be subject to local bargaining or mid-term amendments between local parties. Notwithstanding this stipulation, local collective agreement terms will need to align with the terms above.

  • Short Term Leaves Short Term Leaves are designed to allow Teachers who have to apply for short term personal leaves of absence not otherwise covered by this Collective Agreement.

  • Personal Illness and Injury Leave 1. Full-time employees shall be entitled to ten (10) days leave with full-time pay for each school year for purposes of personal illness or injury. Employees who work less than full-time shall be entitled to that portion of the ten (10) days leave as the number of hours per week of scheduled duty relates to the number of hours for a full-time employee in a comparable position.

  • Short Term Leave Members who are LTD trustees and Union stewards or designates may apply in writing to the Employer for short term leaves of absence for; attendance at union conventions, union courses, and union committees. The employee will give reasonable notice, which will be at least seven (7) days. The Employer will make every reasonable effort to accommodate such leave, and shall grant it subject to the ability to maintain the operational needs of the department. With the exception of members of the Union's executive, the employer is not required to grant more than twenty (20) days LOA per calendar year under this provision.

  • Short Term Disability Insurance A-3.01 To employees who qualify, the Plan will pay short term disability benefits in an amount that is equal to sixty (60%) percent of weekly salary for a maximum seventeen (17) week benefit period.

  • Short Term Disability Plan The administration of the Short Term Disability Plan and the payment of benefits under this Plan shall be handled by the Company.

  • Short Term Disability The Employer agrees to provide Short Term Disability benefits to all active full-time employees from the first (1st) day of an accident or the first (1st) full-time day of hospitalized or the fourth (4th) day of sickness.   • TREATMENT OF FRINGE BENEFITS The fringe benefits are charged using the rate(s) listed in the Fringe Benefits Section of this Agreement. The fringe benefits included in the rate(s) are listed below. TREATMENT OF PAID ABSENCES Vacation, holiday, sick leave pay and other paid absences are included in salaries and wages and are claimed on grants, contracts and other agreements as part of the normal cost for salaries and wages. Separate claims are not made for the cost of these paid absences. OFF-CAMPUS DEFINITION: The off-campus rate will apply for all activities: a) Performed in facilities not owned by the institution and where these facility costs are not included in the F&A pools; or b) Where rent is directly allocated/charged to the project(s). Grants or contracts will not be subject to more than one F&A cost rate. If more than 50% of a project is performed off-campus, the off-campus rate will apply to the entire project. TREATMENT OF FRINGE BENEFITS: This organization uses fringe benefit rates for estimating direct fringe benefit costs on grant applications and contract proposals. For cash claims and final reporting purposes, the following fringe benefits are specifically identified to each employee and charged individually as direct costs: FICA, FICA Medical, Health Insurance and Retirement. The following benefits are covered by the rates listed in Section I: Workers' Compensation, Unemployment Compensation, Terminal Leave, Severance Pay, Employee Assistance Program, Tuition Waivers, and Short/Long Term Disability. Equipment means tangible personal property (including information technology systems) having a useful life of more than one year and a per-unit acquisition cost which equals or exceeds the lesser of the capitalization level established by the non-Federal entity for financial statement purposes, or $5,000. The next Fringe Benefits rates proposal for FYE 06/30/2022 is due in our office by 12/31/2022. *This Rate Agreement updates the F&A section only*. The next F&A rates proposal based on FYE 06/30/2024 is due in our office by 12/31/2024.

  • Short Term Disability Benefits Paragraph 1: The Board shall provide short term disability benefits as set forth in the Short Term Disability Summary Plan Description. Short term disability benefits for disabilities resulting from non-occupational illness or injury, shall be paid at the rate of 70% of the teacher’s regular daily rate, subject to all applicable deductions. A teacher may choose to save up to five (5) accumulated temporary leave days. Following the exhaustion of temporary leave, there is a five day waiting period before short term disability benefits begin. The five day waiting period will be waived for absences greater than 30 calendar days and short term disability payments shall be paid retroactively.
