Short Term Leave. (a) An employee may arrange, subject to Supervisor's approval, to exchange duties with another employee or arrange substitution for short periods without prejudice to future reassignment or reappointment. (b) If any employee cannot arrange to exchange duties with another employee or arrange substitution as per Article B 6.02 (a), the employee can make a written application for leave of absence without pay to their supervisor. Leave shall not be unreasonably denied or prejudice future assignment or reappointment. If a short term leave request is denied, the employee may request written reasons for the denial. Written reasons shall be provided within two (2) weeks of the request.
