Shop stewards shall assist any Employee receiving a serious injury on the job or becoming sick. If necessary, the shop xxxxxxx shall report this information to the xxxxxxx and the LOCAL UNION at once. Shop stewards shall have no authority whatsoever to call, order, or create a strike, work stoppage, or slowdown. He shall report all serious matters to the LOCAL UNION office.

On all jobs where journeymen plumbers are employed, Discussions on the Business Manager or his duly designated agent need for a shop xxxxxxx and the details of the local process of getting in contact and negotiating shall be held first between the company’s management and the senior salaried employees’ representatives. If locally deemed necessary for the shop xxxxxxx to also represent the senior salaried employees in other workplaces or other companies belonging to the group, the shared shop xxxxxxx shall be locally agreed upon by the senior salaried employees and the managements of each workplace and company involved. The Federation of Finnish Technology Industries/SKOL and YTN must be informed of such appointmentan agreement. A deputy shop xxxxxxx can be elected in a workplace having at least ten senior salaried employees. The deputy shop xxxxxxx shall act as the shop xxxxxxx’x alternate if the shop xxxxxxx is unable to exercise his/her duties. The shop xxxxxxx and deputy shop xxxxxxx shall be elected from amongst the senior salaried employees of the company or workplace that are bound by this Agreement and they must be familiar with the conditions in the workplace. All the senior salaried employees in the workplace shall be given the opportunity to take part in the ballot. The shop xxxxxxx shall be appointed for a fixed period, give which usually is two years. In determining the reasonable amount of leave, factors such as the number of salaried employees in the personnel group, the nature of operations and the volume of duties under this Agreement shall be taken into account. As of 1 March 2014 the employer shall pay the following separate monthly compensation to a senior salaried employee serving as xxxxxxx interfere with his work unreasonably. The shop stewards shall be informed of all layoffs, transfers, discharges, and shall make sure Employees are properly paid. Shop stewards shall assist any Employee receiving a serious injury on the job or becoming sick. If necessary, the shop xxxxxxx shall report this information to the xxxxxxx employee representative and the LOCAL UNION at onceemployer will discuss in advance whether the training in question is such that it doesn't affect the representative's monthly salary or whether the employer will pay compensation for attendance.
