Shop Steward. a. The Shop Xxxxxxx may leave his work station for the purpose of handling grievances which require immediate attention by way of investigation and/or adjustment during working hours. It is agreed by the Union that such time off work shall be devoted to the prompt handling of legitimate grievances and that such practice will not be abused and that the Shop Xxxxxxx will continue to work at his assigned job except when requested to leave their work for the handling of grievances as provided herein.
