Common use of Shop Drawings Clause in Contracts

Shop Drawings. The contractor shall provide shop drawings, settings, schedules and such other drawings as may be necessary for the prosecution of the work in the shop and in the field as required by the drawings, specifications or Engineer's instructions. Deviations from the drawings and specifications shall be called to the attention of the Engineer at the time of the first submission of shop drawings and other drawings for approval. The Engineer's approval of any drawings shall not release the contractor from responsibility for such deviations. Shop drawings shall be submitted according to the following schedule:
