Shifts, Breaks. A regular shift for all employees of the Employer covered 34 by this Agreement shall be at least eight (8) hours and up to ten (10) hours of work which 35 includes one-half (1/2) hour for paid lunch, and two (2) paid fifteen (15) minute breaks.   • Shifts In the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, the Agency may schedule nursing personnel on a rotational shift basis for a temporary period during the opening of new facilities. The Agency shall not schedule any employee to rotate more than two (2) different shifts in any four (4) week scheduling period. Exceptions may be mutually agreed to by the parties. In the other Agencies, shifts shall not be rotated unless mutually agreed to by the parties.

  • Breaks 16.1 Two separate ten-minute tea breaks (in addition to meal breaks) shall be allowed each employee on duty during each ordinary shift of 7.6 hours or more; where less than 7.6 ordinary hours are worked employees shall be allowed one 10-minute tea break in each four-hour period. Subject to agreement between the employer and the employee, the two ten-minute tea breaks may alternatively be taken as one 20-minute tea break, or by one ten-minute tea break with the employee allowed to proceed off duty ten minutes before the completion of the normal shift finishing time. Such tea break(s) shall count as working time.

  • Meal Breaks (a) An employee who works in excess of five hours will be entitled to an unpaid meal break of not less than 30 minutes and not more than 60 minutes.
