SHIFT PERIOD. ‌‌‌ 18.01 An employee will be ready and fully prepared to work at the commencement of his shift. An employee will be considered released from flight duties when relieved by the scheduled incoming employee at the end of the scheduled shift, unless airborne or pending return to base after completing a call. If the incoming employee fails to report for duty, the on-duty employee will be released from duty by Central Scheduling or in the alternative the employee may be notified by Central Scheduling to remain on shift.
SHIFT PERIOD. 18.01 Hours of work, shift rotation, shift length, shift start and stop times are subject to change based on the requirements of the Contracting Agency and in accordance with applicable employment statues.
SHIFT PERIOD. A shift period shall consist of fourteen (14) consecutive weeks corresponding to seven (7) payroll periods, during which full-time employees shall be assigned to a regular shift. The shift assignments shall be based on the results of a shift bid procedure. Full-time employees would then be assigned work shifts in order of seniority. If, for example, two persons both desired the same shift position, the one with the most seniority would be awarded the position. Probationary employees may be exempted from the bidding process and be assigned a shift position by the Employer.
