Shift Differential Premium Pay Clause Samples

The Shift Differential Premium Pay clause establishes additional compensation for employees who work shifts outside of standard business hours, such as evenings, nights, or weekends. Typically, this clause specifies the percentage or flat rate added to an employee’s regular pay when they are assigned to less desirable or more demanding shifts. By providing financial incentives for working non-standard hours, the clause helps employers attract and retain staff for critical time slots and ensures fair compensation for employees taking on these shifts.
