Common use of Shared Objectives Clause in Contracts

Shared Objectives. Both SPS and the TUS are committed to the success of the SPS and to our contribution towards delivering the Scottish Governments aim of achieving a Safer Scotland. In order to achieve this aim, our shared objectives are:  To work together in Partnership in pursuit of the SPS Vision, Mission and Values.  To manage employment relations in accordance with Partnership Principles and best practice.  To consult at the earliest opportunity and to encourage co-operation and dialogue at all levels of the organisation.  To reach decisions that can be supported by all Parties.  To become a role model in employment relations practice in the public sector.  To enhance the image of the SPS and its employees.  To help instil in the Scottish Government and Scottish public, confidence and trust in our ability to deliver a service which is competitive, value for money, and effective in its contribution to a Safer Scotland.  To create a working environment in which employees are safe, valued and rewarded for their contribution.  To be recognised as a fair and reasonable employer who working with progressive trade unions provides opportunities for job security, delivers flexible working practices and encourages career development for its employees.  To be recognised as an employer whose employees reflect the cultural diversity of a modern Scotland.
