SHARED CONTRACT. 16.100 Bargaining unit members who request to share one teaching position/benefit package shall be eligible to apply for shared contracts. The application process shall include: principal’s approval, a specific calendar/teaching schedule, division of responsibilities and duties, and benefit package designation.
SHARED CONTRACT. When the responsibility for an extra-pay position is shared by two (2) or more individuals, the salary shall be shared proportionally in relation to the time and responsibility required of each person involved.
SHARED CONTRACT. 8.1 Teams of two (2) unit members may submit proposals to share a single full-time contract wherein each teacher will teach less than full-time.

Shared contracts may occur either as a result of District staffing or when a written staff proposal has been approved. The responsibilities of a shared contract assignment shall be divided according to a plan developed by employees and approved by the District. Beginning with the 2023-24 school year, new shared contracts are limited to one of the two employees maintaining no more than a .4 FTE share of the 1.0 position.
