Common use of Severance Stipend Clause in Contracts

Severance Stipend. Upon severance from BOCES, except for other than disciplinary reasons, employees who have completed fifteen (15) years of service will receive fifteen ($15) dollars per day for forty (40%) percent of their unused and accumulated sick leave days. Payment of the stipend will be made within forty-five (45) days of resignation. An employee opting to take this benefit is not entitled to the sick leave conversion benefit (Article XXIV).
