Common use of Service Outside Bargaining Unit Clause in Contracts

Service Outside Bargaining Unit. A nurse who has accepted or accepts employment in a position outside the scope of this Agreement and outside the scope of the professional agreement between the Association and the Agency, and who is later employed by the Medical Center as a nurse in the bargaining unit without a break in Medical Center or PHOR service, will thereafter be credited with (1) his/her previously accrued seniority as a nurse (and accordingly will not be placed on probationary status), (2) his/her PTO accrual rate based upon total consecutive years of Medical Center or PHOR service, and (3) no less than his/her previously existing wage step (including credit for prior service within the pay step) as a nurse.
