SENIORITY PROBATIONARY PERIOD. 8.01 New employees shall be considered probationary until they have accumulated fifty (50) worked days in a twelve (12) month period. The probationary period may be extended by mutual agreement of both the Company and the Union.

Newly hired employees shall have no seniority during their probationary period, but upon completion of the probationary period their seniority date shall be the date of hire. All new employees shall serve a probationary period of one hundred (100) tours after completion of the Fire Academy. Employees who have worked one hundred (100) tours after completion of the Fire Academy shall be known as permanent employees and the probationary period shall be considered as part of their seniority time.

All new employees shall, for the first ninety (90) days worked, be paid at eighty-five percent (85%) of their classification rate on wages only. Pension shall be paid at the full rate. New employees who have experience with one of the employers party to this agreement, or those who have two (2) or more years experience in the classification for which they are being hired, shall be paid 100% of their classification rate. SENIORITY PROBATIONARY PERIOD. 13.01 (a) All new employees shall be considered probationary employees for a period of six (6) calendar months worked or 1040 hours worked, whichever comes first following date of hire.
SENIORITY PROBATIONARY PERIOD. (a) New employees hired in the unit shall be considered as probationary employees for the first six (6) months of their employment. The City, at its option, may extend an employee's probationary period for an additional three (3) months by notifying the employee as affected, in writing, with a copy to the Union. When an employee finishes the probationary period, he shall be entered on the seniority list of the unit and shall rank for seniority from the day of commencing work. There shall be no seniority among probationary employees.
SENIORITY PROBATIONARY PERIOD. A new employee will be considered on probation until he has completed forty-five days of work (or hours of work for employees whose regular hours of work are other than the standard work day), within any twelve calendar months. Upon completion of the probationary period he shall be credited with seniority equal to forty-five working days. With the written consent of the Hospital, the probationary employee and the President of the Local Union or designate, such probationary period may be extended. Any extensions agreed to will be in writing and will specify the length of the extension. The release or discharge of an employee during the probationary period shall not be the subject of a grievance or arbitration.
SENIORITY PROBATIONARY PERIOD. 10.01 For the purposes of this Agreement, seniority is defined as the total length of service accumulated by an employee in the bargaining unit. Seniority begins to accumulate from the date of hire.
