Section 8.2.1. Unworked Holidays. 2 Eligible employees shall receive pay equal to their normal work shift at their base rate in 3 effect at the time the holiday occurs. An employee who is on the active payroll on the 5 scheduled shift succeeding the holiday, and is not on leave of absence, shall be eligible for 6 pay for such unworked holiday. An exception to this requirement will occur if the 7 employee is on authorized paid leave or can furnish proof satisfactory to the District that 8 because of illness the employee was unable to work on either of such shifts, and the 9 absence previous to such holiday by reason of such illness has not been longer than thirty

Section 8.2.1. Unworked Holidays. 38 Eligible employees shall receive pay equal to their normal work shift at their base rate in effect 39 at the time the holiday occurs. Employees who are on the active payroll on the holiday and 40 have worked either their last scheduled shift preceding the holiday or their first scheduled shift 41 succeeding the holiday, and are not on leave of absence, shall be eligible for pay for such 42 unworked holiday. An exception to this requirement will occur if employees can furnish proof 43 satisfactory to the District that an absence on either shifts was due to being on an approved 44 compensated leave under Article IX, other than a leave of absence (Section 9.8). 45

  • Worked Holidays Employees who are required to work on the above-named holidays shall receive the pay due them for the holiday, plus double their base rate for all hours worked on such holiday, plus shift differential if applicable, unless the employee starts to work at 10:00 P.M., or thereafter on that day.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • Designated Holidays A part-time employee shall not be paid for the designated holidays but shall, instead be paid a premium of four and one-quarter (4.25%) per cent for all straight-time hours during the period of part-time employment.

  • PAID HOLIDAYS 12.01 (a) A full-time employee who otherwise qualifies hereunder shall receive the following paid holidays: New Year's Day (Jan. 1st) Labour Day 3rd Monday in February Thanksgiving Day Easter Monday Remembrance Day (Nov.11th) Good Friday Christmas Day (Dec. 25th) Victoria Day Boxing Day (Dec. 26th) Canada Day (July 1st) Civic Holiday

  • Holidays Worked When an employee works on a calendar holiday, he/she shall receive payment of the holiday at the regular rate and in addition, at the discretion of the Employer, (1) be paid at the rate of time and one half for hours actually worked on the holiday or (2) be given compensatory time off equal to one and one half the number of hours actually worked.

  • Work on Holidays Employees who work on the following holidays: New Years Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1 ½) times the employees regular rate of pay for all hours worked on the holiday. For purposes of this Agreement, the holiday shall begin at 11:00 p.m. on the day preceding the holiday and will end at 11:30 p.m. on the day of the holiday. Hours worked on a holiday that are into overtime will be paid at time and a half rather than straight time.

  • DESIGNATED PAID HOLIDAYS 11.01 Subject to clause 11.02, the following days shall be designated paid holidays for employees:

  • Weekend Holidays 9.3.1. A full-time employee who works a Monday through Friday schedule and the calendar holiday falls on a Saturday, the employee shall be allowed the preceding day off. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the employee shall be allowed the following day off. If the employee works the day preceding or following such a holiday, he/she shall be given another workday off with pay or shall receive payment for that day at the regular rate.

  • Vacations and Holidays The Executive will be entitled to three (3) weeks' paid vacation each calendar year in accordance with the vacation policies of the Employer in effect for its executive officers from time to time. The Executive will also be entitled to the paid holidays and other paid leave set forth in the Employer's policies. Vacation days during any calendar year that are not used by the Executive during such calendar year may be used in any subsequent calendar year; provided, however, that no more than six weeks' paid vacation may be accrued or carried forward.

  • Vacation, Sick Leave and Holidays Executive shall be entitled in each calendar year to four (4) weeks of paid vacation time. Each vacation shall be taken by Executive at such time or times as agreed upon by the Company and Executive, and any portion of Executive’s allowable vacation time not used during the calendar year shall be subject to the Company’s payroll policies regarding carryover vacation. Executive shall be entitled to holiday and sick leave in accordance with the Company’s holiday and other pay for time not worked policies.
