Common use of School Cancellations Clause in Contracts

School Cancellations. In case school is canceled due to an act of God, teachers are not expected to report for work (intent being when students will not be in attendance). Further, they will not be charged a sick day or a bonus day or a personal leave day if one had been requested. If, however, school is canceled after the reporting time for a given teacher and the teacher has been granted a bonus day, personal leave day, or sick day, s/he will be charged accordingly. In case school is canceled for an individual building, teachers will not be expected to report to work.
