Satellite Characteristics Clause Samples

The 'Satellite Characteristics' clause defines the specific technical and operational features of the satellite that is the subject of the agreement. It typically outlines parameters such as payload capacity, frequency bands, power output, coverage area, and any unique design specifications required by the customer. By clearly detailing these characteristics, the clause ensures both parties have a mutual understanding of the satellite's capabilities and performance expectations, thereby reducing the risk of disputes over deliverables and ensuring the satellite meets the intended mission requirements.
Satellite Characteristics. This Section defines the characteristics of the Satellite required to support the mission with respect to performance, physical characteristics, reliability, availability, and environmental conditions. The SSI shall derive and otherwise define lower level requirements necessary to implement the requirements of this specification, including those that are passed to the Instrument Contractor via the Spacecraft Bus to Instrument ICD, the Environmental Design and Test Specification, and other relevant documents.
