Sandblasting. All steel surfaces, including the interior of the liquid cargo tanks and void spaces, are to be sand blasted to "near white" metal finish as defined by the Steel Structures Painting Council (SSPC). Finish blasting shall be completed with dry air and grit to insure a moisture-free surface. Blasted surfaces shall be prime coated within the same work shift as the blasting is accomplished in order to prevent rusting.
Sandblasting a) Projects being sandblasted will be controlled with structures or tarps to the maximum extent practical. b) Sandblasting site must be cleaned daily. c) Sandblasting material must be swept or vacuumed. No water will be allowed to clean up sandblasting debris. d) All sandblasting material, new and used must be kept contained off of the ground and covered from rain to prevent being introduced to the environment. e) All sandblasting debris must be disposed of according to State and Federal Regulations.
Sandblasting a. All painted surfaces will be sandblasted and scraped to completely remove all layers of existing paint within the lap pool, shallow pool and lazy river. b. All cracks and joints must be identified, logged and approved by the Parks Director before being repaired or sealed prior to painting c. Any concrete identified with significant damage must be identified, logged and approved by the Park Director before being replaced.
Sandblasting. The Employer agrees to research the availability of current equipment utilized in sandblasting activities and, in consultation with appropriate O H & S committees, will assess current practices of utilization. Where replacement is deemed necessary, the Employer will endeavour during the next twelve months to replace outdated or inadequate equipment.
Sandblasting. The sandblasting gun operator only, shall receive 50% of his basic hourly rate, whilst sandblasting.
Sandblasting. All sandblasting activities will be performed by Port of Toledo employees.
Sandblasting. Workers, regardless of classification, when assigned to the sandblasting booth, shall be paid environmental pay for eight (8) hours minimum or for hours actually worked, whichever is greater.
