Salary While On Light Duty Assignment. When performing light duty work assignments in accordance with this section, employees shall receive the normal salary step for their regular classification of employment. Personnel assigned to light duty work assignments shall not be required to perform a substantial portion of duties of a higher paid classification. Personnel assigned to light duty work may be assigned to perform a substantial portion of the duties of a higher classification in a training status, however.
