The SALARY LEVEL PLACEMENT clause establishes how an employee’s starting salary is determined within an organization’s pay structure. SALARY LEVEL PLACEMENT. 29.01 Category classification shall be those established by the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation. For the purpose of salary categorization the Board recognizes that, except for errors and omissions, the Certification Rating Statement issued by the OSSTF Certification Board shall be final.
29.02 It shall be the responsibility of a Teacher to provide the Board with documentary proof in the form of an OSSTF Certification Rating Statement as to his/her appropriate category rating.
29.03 Where no OSSTF Certification Rating Statement is available, that secondary school Teacher shall be placed in Category 1 of the salary schedule.
SALARY LEVEL PLACEMENT. A Driver's salary level placement shall be determined as of his/her anniversary date of employment.
SALARY LEVEL PLACEMENT. A. Assignment to a Higher Salary Level: In the event an employee’s position has been substantially modified resulting in the employee being placed in a higher salary level, the employee shall be placed at the new regular level and current step.
B. Assignment to a Lower Salary Level: Whenever an employee’s position has been substantially modified resulting in the employee being placed in a lower salary level, the employee shall be placed at the new regular level and step nearest to, but not higher than his/her current salary level and step; however wage shall be frozen until the wage at the new salary level/step becomes equal or exceed the frozen wage.
