Safety of the Public. E. Notwithstanding the provisions of any collective bargaining agreement negotiated pursuant to this chapter, the city is entitled to take whatever actions may be necessary to carry out its responsibilities in situation of emergency such as a riot, military action, natural disaster or civil disorder. Such actions may include the suspension of any collective bargaining agreement for the duration of the emergency. Any action taken under the provisions of this subsection shall not be construed as a failure to negotiate in good faith.

Safety of the Public. In the interest of the safety of the public, an employee or fellow employees, the City has the right to engage an employee in the Interactive Process within the Americans With Disabilities Act to assess a physical or mental condition which may make continued employment hazardous to the public, the employee, or to their fellow workers.
Safety of the Public. Notwithstanding this Agreement, the City is entitled to take whatever actions may be necessary to carry out its responsibilities in situations of emergency as defined in this paragraph as riot, military action, disaster, civil disorder, or matters of similar magnitude. Such actions may include the suspension of any collective bargaining agreement for the duration of the emergency. Any action taken under the provisions of this Subsection shall not be construed as a failure to negotiate in good faith. The City shall have the ultimate right and responsibility of the local government employer to manage its operation in the most efficient manner consistent with the best interests of all its citizens, taxpayers and employees.

  • Safety Boots Each employee, after 3 months’ continuous service, will be reimbursed (on production of a receipt), the cost of one pair of safety boots (approved by the employer), in each year, to a maximum of $110.00.   • WORKPLACE SAFETY AND INSURANCE 41.1 Where an employee is absent by reason of an injury or an occupational disease for which a claim is made under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, his or her salary shall continue to be paid for a period not exceeding thirty (30) days. If an award is not made, any payments made under the foregoing provisions in excess of that to which he or she is entitled under Articles 44.1 and 44.6 (Short Term Sickness Plan) shall be an amount owing by the employee to the Employer.

  • Environmental Standards If the contract amount set forth in this Contract is in excess of $100,000, the Contractor shall comply with all applicable standards, orders, or requirements issued under section 306 of the Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C. § 7606), section 508 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. § 1368), Executive Order 11738, and Environmental Protection Agency regulations (2 C.F.R. Part 1532), which prohibit the use under non-exempt Federal contracts of facilities included on the EPA List of Violating Facilities. The Contractor shall report any violations of this paragraph to the State of Indiana and to the United States Environmental Protection Agency Assistant Administrator for Enforcement.

  • Workplace Safety and Insurance Act It is understood that payment of income protection is for the sole and only purpose of protecting employees against the loss of income during time of such illness. Seniority and service will accrue and the Employer shall continue to pay its share of the premium for the benefit plans during the period of the income protection noted in this provision.

Make, execute and deliver to Lender such promissory notes, mortgages, deeds of trust, security agreements, assignments, financing statements, instruments, documents and other agreements as Lender or its attorneys may reasonably request to evidence and secure the Loans and to perfect all Security Interests.
