Safeguarding Policy. 11.1. The Company takes the safety of all parties using the platform extremely seriously and complies with all relevant legislation including the Care Act 2010, the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults Act. In instances where we deem a "vulnerable" adult is at risk of exploitation or any type of harm and we have received evidence to indicate that this is the case, we will comply with the applicable legislation and refer the relevant parties to the nearest Local Authority's Adult Safeguarding Team. Although the Company does not directly provide care, we take our duties as a responsible organisation seriously and will endeavour to ensure a duty of care to all participants on the platform.

Please see notice board in entrance hall for details The Hirer shall ensure that any activities for children under eight years of age comply with the provisions of the Childcare Xxx 0000 and the Safeguarding Vulnerable groups Xxx 0000 and only fit and proper persons who have passed the appropriate Criminal Records Bureau checks should have access to the children. Checks may also apply where children over eight and vulnerable adults are taking part in activities. The Hirer shall provide the Village Hall management committee with a copy of their CRB check and Child Protection Policy on request.
