Rights of Veterans. Some employees covered by this Agreement may have the individual right to contest a removal from a position or employment under Minn. Stat. §197.46. Once an employee requests a hearing under Xxxx. Stat. §197.46, the Association’s right to pursue a grievance under this Article is terminated.

Rights of Veterans. Nothing in this Agreement restricts the right(s) of a Veteran to challenge or dispute, pursuant to Federal law or regulation, an eligibility determination made by VA.
Rights of Veterans. A. Employees who have been inducted or enlist for military duty in any of the armed forces of the United States shall be granted leaves of absence for a period not to exceed three (3) months beyond their honorable discharge date. Full credit toward advancement on the salary schedule shall be granted. This credit shall not be extended beyond the initial enlisted or induction period. A dishonorable discharge from above services does not obligate the Employer for future employment. At Employer's discretion, a certification of physical and/or mental capability may be required as a condition of reemployment. Employees shall be offered re-employment in their previous position or a position of like status and pay, unless the circumstances have so changed as to make it impossible or totally unreasonable to do so, in which event they will be offered such employment in line with seniority as may be available which they are capable of doing at the current rate of pay for such work.
