Common use of Right to Stop Work Clause in Contracts

Right to Stop Work. If CONTRACTOR persistently fails or refuses to perform the Work in accordance with this Agreement, COUNTY may order CONTRACTOR to stop the Work, or any described portion thereof, until the cause for stoppage has been corrected, no longer exists, or COUNTY orders that Work be resumed. In such event, CONTRACTOR shall immediately obey such order.
