Common use of Return to Unit Clause in Contracts

Return to Unit. To ensure continuity of care for the patient, it is the 19 intent that a regularly scheduled nurse floated from his/her unit will finish his/her 20 assignment in the unit they floated to. A regularly scheduled nurse floated from 21 his/her unit may be returned to his/her home unit if their skills are needed for 22 patient care, as determined by house supervisor/management utilizing unit 23 guidelines and/or charge nurse request. 24 Four hour assignments will be minimized to maximize continuity of care 25 and ▇▇▇▇▇▇ a safe environment for patients/families/caregivers.
