Resuming Duty. (a) When accommodations are provided and the train does not proceed, Trainmen will re- sume duty when the rest period has expired and will handle the train to the objective When accommodations are provided and the train proceeds without them, Trainmen will resume duty when the rest period has expired and will be deadheaded as as possible to the point for which ordered, or to the home terminal, at the option of the company. Note When deadheaded in the application of Clause above, Trainmen will be compensated on a continuous time basis for service and deadheading (miles or hours whichever is greater) as per class of service.   • Recall Period Post probationary employees who are laid-off beyond a one year period of time shall be deemed to be terminated. Probationary employees who are laid-off beyond a three month period of time shall be deemed to be terminated.

  • Service Period The Service Period of this Agreement is for 1 year in respect of the unit and starts on the Start Date as defined in the Terms and Conditions, or, in the case of an extension of renewal of the provision of Support Services, starts on the date of payment of the Charges.

  • Lunch Breaks The lunch break will consist of a one-half hour (or one hour where scheduled) unpaid break taken mid-way during regular work day. In the event that an employee is required to work during his regular lunch period he shall be allowed a one-half hour lunch period between the hours of ll:30 a.m. and l:00 p.m., otherwise he shall be paid double time for working through said lunch period.

  • Weekend Work (1) All ordinary hours of work performed between midnight on Friday and midnight on Sunday shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half.

  • Safe Working Conditions The Employer undertakes to maintain office furniture, equipment, etc., in a practical and safe condition in order to avoid injury to employees or damage to their attire. Employees, for their part and in their own interest, are expected to advise the Employer of any such potentially injurious equipment.
