RESERVATIONS TO MANAGEMENT. 2.01 (a) The Union recognizes the right of the Company to hire, promote and demote, transfer, suspend or otherwise discipline and discharge any employee for just cause, subject to such regulations and restrictions governing the exercise of these rights as are expressly provided in this agreement, and subject to the right of the employee concerned to lodge a grievance in the manner and to the extent herein provided. The Union further recognizes the right of the Company to operate and manage its business in all respects in accordance with its commitments and responsibilities. The Company also has the right to make and alter, from time to time, rules and regulations to be observed by employees, which rules and regulations shall not be inconsistent with the provisions of this agreement. Any changes in the rules and regulations affecting the office employees will be discussed with the negotiating committee before being put into effect.
