Common use of Required Medical Certification Clause in Contracts

Required Medical Certification. Each faculty employee who has been absent from scheduled duties because of illness or injury for five or more consecutive school days or who is absent from an assignment as defined in Article 7.16.1 for five or more consecutive hours of the assignment or who is absent from scheduled duties on a regular and repeated basis, shall, at the request of the Board, submit a statement from their physician or other qualified practitioner stating the medical reason for the absence and certifying the employee’s ability to return to work.
