Reporting and Status Tracking x. Describe how your system provides status tracking throughout the proposal development and award negotiation process to both investigators and central office personnel. Throughout the process, status of the proposal is tracked. As both PIs and central office personnel log into the system, they can immediately see where the proposals are in the process through the “Dashboard” concept, which provides a visual snapshot of all proposals appropriate to the individual and where they are in the proposal process.

This is part of the extensive and detailed workflow management system, which is configured for your institution.

There is extensive capacity for comments. There is limited ability to constrain viewing of comments, but more sensitive commentary can be included on attached documents, which have fine‐grained access permissions.
aa. Describe the system’s standard reporting and ad hoc reporting capabilities available to central office and distributed departments across an institution for both proposals and awards. There is extensive standard reporting available out of the box. There are around 50 standard reports that address pre‐ and post‐award activity. The standard reports contain a large amount of data and can easily be exported to Excel for manipulation and editing if desired.
bb. Describe the reporting tool used or recommended to be used to perform standard or ad hoc reporting. You can use any external reporting tool that can query a standard database file. Crystal Reports and Jasper Reports are two commonly used tools. Data can be accessed from the Cayuse 424 and Cayuse SP databases.
