Common use of Report-In Pay Clause in Contracts

Report-In Pay. An employee who has not been notified in advance not to report for work and who reports for their scheduled shift will be given the minimum of four (4) hours work at the regular rate. Notification shall be deemed to occur where the employer endeavours to contact the employee and keeps a record of the time and date of this effort. A Union Representative will be present when those calls are being made. This will not apply if the Company is unable to provide work due to power shortage, failure of power supply or any other conditions beyond the control of the Company.
