Removal of Students. (a) The School has the right to remove a student at any time from the practicum at the Facility. The School shall notify the Facility of such removal in writing.

Removal of Students. 26.03.1 Professional Staff Members initiating any request or recommendation or other action to remove, suspend, or expel any student for any reason shall be required to submit such request or recommendation or action in writing, or online, with whatever documentation or information is available to support such request, recommendation or action and, should the need arise, shall be required to testify in any legal or administrative proceedings resulting either from such recommendation, request or action or otherwise seeking to remove, suspend, or expel any student. The ADMINISTRATION will provide reasonable on-the-job protection, counsel and assistance in such situations. Professional Staff Members shall immediately be made aware of the disposition of the recommendation by the ADMINISTRATION, including the rationale for such disposition.

If the University determines that a student’s educational needs are not being met or they are not receiving field instruction by a qualified professional, the University in consultation with the Site will remove the student from the Site.

Removal of Students. The maximum welfare and safety of students shall be a major consideration in determining whether a student should be removed from a classroom. Whenever possible the teacher will advise the Building Principal and/or the appropriate Supervisor of Special Education of potential student problems which might require the removal of a student from class. When a teacher determines that a student is a threat to the safety and welfare of others in the class, the teacher shall notify the Building Principal and/or the appropriate Supervisor of Special Education. The supervisor and the teacher shall then take such action as is deemed necessary and appropriate to correct the problem. Where a student who has threatened the safety and welfare of the class is removed from the class, there shall be a conference between the Building Principal and/or appropriate Supervisor of Special Education and the teacher before the student is returned to class. If a teacher is not satisfied with the disposition, the teacher may refer the matter to the Division Director by submitting a written report with a copy to the supervisor stating the nature of the problem and the reasons why the disposition of the problem was not satisfactory. The teacher may request, in writing with a copy to the Director, that the District Superintendent review the determination by the Director. Such request shall be accompanied by a copy of the teacher’s report to the Director and a copy of the Director’s response. A written procedure to be followed when removing a student from class for the Special Education Division and for the Career and Technical Education Division shall be distributed to all teachers. Three copies of such policies or procedures shall be sent to the Association by September 10th annually.
Removal of Students. Any general education student in any grade level accused of assaulting a school employee shall be removed from the classroom setting pending investigation and disposition of the allegation. Any special education student accused of an assault that inflicts “serious bodily harm” upon a school employee shall be immediately removed to an interim alternative educational setting for the maximum extent permitted by law (i.e., currently 45 school days) regardless of the outcome of the manifestation determination review. For purposes of this section, the employee’s statement shall be given substantial weight and deference. Any special education student accused of an assault that inflicts less than serious bodily injury upon a school employee shall be immediately removed to an interim alternative educational setting for the maximum extent permitted by law (i.e., currently 10 school days) regardless of the outcome of the manifestation determination review.
Removal of Students. CoxHealth may immediately remove from the premises any Student who poses an immediate threat or danger to personnel or to the quality of patient care or for unprofessional behavior. CoxHealth may request School to withdraw or dismiss a Student from the Practicum at CoxHealth when his or her clinical performance is unsatisfactory to CoxHealth or his or her behavior, in CoxHealth’s sole discretion, is disruptive or detrimental to CoxHealth and/or its patients. In such event, said Student’s participation in the Practicum shall immediately cease; however, only School has ultimate control or discretion over any grades given to the Students.
