Reinstated Employees. If a discharged employee is reinstated by an 41 Arbitrator pursuant to this contract, and would have been laid off 42 during the period of separation but for the discharge, the employee 43 shall be credited with only the seniority he/she would have accrued, 44 but for the discharge, up to the effective date of layoff, and the fifteen 45 (l5) day notification period shall be waived in such circumstances. 46

Reinstatement Within One Year: Employees who are reinstated pursuant to 15 Civil Service Rules within one calendar year of the date they left County service shall, upon 16 reinstatement, be compensated at Step 1 of their respective pay range.
