REHEARSAL BREAKS. Standardly, there will be a break of 15 minutes during each rehearsal session. The break shall be called within the first two and a half hours of a four hour call and within the first two hours of a three hour call. • Breaks during technical rehearsals on stage During technical rehearsal sessions, there will be a break of 15 minutes for every musician, which shall be called within the first two and a half hours of a four hour call and within the first two hours of a three hour call. Rehearsal sessions of up to two hours do not require a scheduled break. The timings of technical rehearsal sessions for musicians include time for dressing into costume and out of costume. • Breaks between sessions Breaks between musicians’ rehearsal or performance calls will be at least 45 minutes long. This does not apply to Early Calls (please see page 10). • Performance breaks Many shows at the Globe include pre-show and interval music. Show lengths can vary considerably. Musicians perform from different locations and so performance breaks will be applied flexibly and in collaboration with the MD and band, but in accordance with the following principles. - Performance calls of up to 3 hours will include a break of 15 minutes for each musician, - Performance calls of up to (and including) 4 hours will include a break of 20 minutes for every musician, which can be allocated in two instalments of 10 minutes each. - Performance calls of more than 4 hours will include a break of 25 minutes for every musician, which can be allocated in two instalments, one of 10 minutes and one of 15 minutes. The individual musicians’ breaks will be allocated by management in collaboration with the MD, composer and director over the course of technical rehearsals and preview performances, as and when show timings settle and the appropriate moments in the show can be identified. The above rules for breaks and any break infringement payments will therefore apply from Press Night onwards.

Subsequent meal breaks shall be called not later than five (5) hours after the expiration of the previous meal break. For any call exceeding five (5) hours the musician(s) will receive overtime as described in Article 10 OVERTIME until the meal break is called or the musician is released.
REHEARSAL BREAKS. There shall be an interval of not less than five minutes per hour worked, or part thereof, to be taken no later than half way through the rehearsal unless by prior agreement between the Conductor and the Orchestra. In the case of a four-hour call no less than two breaks shall be taken - the first being taken no later than one and a half hours from the beginning of the rehearsal.
REHEARSAL BREAKS. There will be at least one (1) 10 minute break called at a 2 hour rehearsal, at least one (1) 15 minute break called at a 2-1/2 hour rehearsal, and at least two (2) 10 minute breaks called at a 3 hour rehearsal. During a 3 hour rehearsal the second break must be called no later than 2-1/2 hours after the call began unless approved by a majority vote of the Orchestra. Breaks may be staggered as to individuals, but no one shall be required to play over 1 hour and 20 minutes without a break at any rehearsal, except dress rehearsals for opera, choral and ballet when acts or the entire choral work without intermission when played straight through exceeds 1 hour and 20 minutes.   • Meal Breaks (a) An employee who works in excess of five hours will be entitled to an unpaid meal break of not less than 30 minutes and not more than 60 minutes.

  • Lunch Breaks The lunch break will consist of a one-half hour (or one hour where scheduled) unpaid break taken mid-way during regular work day. In the event that an employee is required to work during his regular lunch period he shall be allowed a one-half hour lunch period between the hours of ll:30 a.m. and l:00 p.m., otherwise he shall be paid double time for working through said lunch period.

  • Meal Break a) Employees who work for more than five continuous hours are entitled to an unpaid meal break of 30 minutes each day.

  • Lunch Break Each Teacher shall receive each day an uninterrupted and continuous period of not less than forty (40) minutes for lunch, free from supervisory, teaching or other assigned duties (reference: Regulation 298.s. 3, Daily Sessions).

  • Application for Employment Employee understands and agrees that, as a condition of this Agreement, Employee shall not be entitled to any employment with the Company, and Employee hereby waives any right, or alleged right, of employment or re-employment with the Company. Employee further agrees not to apply for employment with the Company and not otherwise pursue an independent contractor or vendor relationship with the Company.

  • Breaks 16.1 Two separate ten-minute tea breaks (in addition to meal breaks) shall be allowed each employee on duty during each ordinary shift of 7.6 hours or more; where less than 7.6 ordinary hours are worked employees shall be allowed one 10-minute tea break in each four-hour period. Subject to agreement between the employer and the employee, the two ten-minute tea breaks may alternatively be taken as one 20-minute tea break, or by one ten-minute tea break with the employee allowed to proceed off duty ten minutes before the completion of the normal shift finishing time. Such tea break(s) shall count as working time.

  • Coffee Breaks All employees will receive a coffee break not exceeding fifteen minutes in duration twice each shift. The time when coffee breaks will be taken will be at the discretion of the employee’s immediate supervisor.

  • Tea Breaks (a) Every employee will be entitled to a paid 10 minute tea break in each four hours worked at a time to be agreed between the employee and employer.

  • Independence from Material Breach Determination Except as set forth in Section X.D.1.c, these provisions for payment of Stipulated Penalties shall not affect or otherwise set a standard for OIG’s decision that CHSI has materially breached this CIA, which decision shall be made at OIG’s discretion and shall be governed by the provisions in Section X.D, below.

  • School Year Employment If an employee is employed on the basis of a school year and such employment contemplates absences from the State payroll during the summer months or vacation periods scheduled by the Appointing Authority which occur during the regular school year, the employee shall nonetheless remain eligible for an Employer Contribution, provided that the employee appears on the regular payroll for at least one (1) working day in the payroll period immediately preceding such absences.
