REFRACTORY. Refractory and/or corrosion maintenance and repair work shall consist of the removal and replacement of plastic, brick, castables, acid proof materials, ceramic fibre materials, and/or any refractory and/or corrosion materials where it consists as a protective lining on the interior of any/all industrial vessels. The cutting out of, grinding or chipping and/or xxxx hammering of existing materials, in whole or in part, shall be the work of the Bricklayer.

REFRACTORY a) The provisions of this Article shall apply to all new refractory construction, all refractory maintenance and repair projects, and all ongoing plant refractory maintenance (i.e., plant refractory maintenance performed by steady, full-time employees who are part of a work force having assured employment for a minimum of twelve (12) months contracted for by Employers operating regionally and nationally in industrial plants such as, but not limited to, mining facilities, manufacturing plants, power plants, iron and steel production facilities, paper xxxxx, cement plants, breweries, rubber production and tile manufacturing plants, refineries and synthetic fuel manufacturing facilities. Except as specifically set forth in this Article, refractory work shall be done under the same terms and conditions as are set forth in the remainder of this Agreement.
REFRACTORY. All refractory work under this AGREEMENT will revert to the Bricklayers National Agreement for Refractory Construction unless the local chapter has a refractory agreement negotiated with the local bargaining Association. The local chapter refractory agreement shall take precedence over the National Agreement, unless the contractor is signed to the National Refractory Agreement. STACKS & CHIMNEYS: All stack and chimney work will be paid applicable to International Union Stack Agreement.
REFRACTORY. 1. Members working on hot work shall receive 50% more than the scale being paid on the job. Hot work is construed to mean that whenever refractory work is being done by members of this International Union on a tank that has a fire in either feeders, tank or checkers or all three. This will include drying fires, heat-ups and hot work on zinc tanks, furnaces and boilers.

REFRACTORY. For all tear out work, gloves and coveralls shall be provided for by the Employer. As warranted when graphite, carbon, acid, impregnated brick, and gloves shall be provided by the Employer and such clothing shall remain the property of the Employer. The Employer agrees to provide clean hot and cold water, soap and clean individual paper towels and provide sufficient time to wash up. Such facilities described herein shall be provided at commencement of the appropriate work herein. Where dust conditions prevail, adequate ventilation will be provided, and employees will be provided with proper respiratory equipment. A fifteen cent ($0.15) per hour premium shall be paid for refractory work in addition to the premiums provided for in Schedule 'A. Local refractory conditions shall remain as per Local Union Schedule.

  • Safety Glasses 10.3.1 Where a teacher is considered to be working in an “eye danger” area, the teacher shall receive a personal issue of standard neutral safety glasses which shall remain the property of the employer.

  • Prescription Glasses This plan covers prescription glasses as follows: • Frames - one (1) collection frame per plan year; • Lenses - one (1) pair of glass or plastic collection lenses per plan year. This includes single vision, bifocal, trifocal, lenticular, and standard progressive lenses. This plan covers the following lens treatments: • UV treatment; • tint (fashion, gradient, and glass-grey); • standard plastic scratch coating; • standard polycarbonate; and • photocromatic/transitions plastic. Contact Lenses (in lieu of prescription glasses) This plan covers one (1) supply of contact lenses as follows: • conventional contact lenses - one (1) pair per plan year from a selection of provider designated contact lenses; or • extended wear disposable lenses - up to a 6-month supply of monthly or two- week single vision spherical or toric disposable contact lenses per plan year; or • daily wear disposable lenses - up to a 3-month supply of daily single vision spherical disposable contact lenses per plan year. This plan also covers the evaluation, fitting, or follow-up care related to contact lenses. This plan covers additional contact lenses if your prescribing network provider submits a verification form, with the regular claim form, verifying that you have one of the following conditions: • anisometropia of 3D in meridian powers; • high ametropia exceeding -10D or +10D in meridian powers; • keratoconus when the member’s vision is not correctable to 20/25 in either or both eyes using standard spectacle lenses; and • vision improvement for members whose vision can be corrected two lines of improvement on the visual acuity chart when compared to the best corrected standard spectacle lenses.

  • Prescription Safety Glasses Prescription safety glasses will be furnished by the employer. The employer retains the authority to establish reasonable rules and procedures regarding frequency of issue, replacement of damaged glasses, limits on reimbursement costs and coordination with the employer's vision plan.

  • Blasting Blasting shall be permitted only for road construction purposes unless advance permission is obtained from Forest Service. Whenever the Industrial Fire Precaution Level is II or greater, a fire security person equipped with a long handled round point No. 0 or larger shovel and a 5 gallon backpack pump can filled with water, will stay at location of blast for 1 hour after blasting is done. Blasting may be suspended by Forest Service, in areas of high rate of spread and resistance to control. Fuses shall not be used for blasting. Explosive cords shall not be used without permission of Forest Service, which may specify conditions under which such explosives may be used and precautions to be taken.

  • Safety Footwear 1. The State will provide employees in the classifications listed in Section 7 below, and employees who are currently required to wear safety footwear by Department Work Rules, an allowance of one hundred twenty dollars ($120.00) for replacement of safety footwear.

  • Hospice g. Individuals whose permanent residence and principal work location are outside the State of Minnesota and outside of the service areas of the health plans participating in Advantage. If these individuals use the plan administrator’s national preferred provider organization in their area, services will be covered at Benefit Level Two. If a national preferred provider is not available in their area, services will be covered at Benefit Level Two through any other provider available in their area. If the national preferred provider organization is available but not used, benefits will be paid at the POS level described in paragraph “i” below. All terms and conditions outlined in the Summary of Benefits will apply.

  • Animals The Hirer shall ensure that no animals (including birds) except guide dogs are brought into the premises, other than for a special event agreed to by the Village Hall. No animals whatsoever are to enter the kitchen at any time.

  • Screening 3.13.1 Refuse containers located outside the building shall be fully screened from adjacent properties and from streets by means of opaque fencing or masonry walls with suitable landscaping.

  • Welding Welding and use of cutting torches or cutoff saws will be permitted only in areas that have been cleared or are free of all material capable of carrying fire. Flammable debris and vegetation must be removed from within a minimum 10-foot radius of all welding and cutting operations. A shovel and a 5-gallon standard backpack water container filled and with handpump attached shall be immediately available for use in the event of a fire start. C8.212 – MARKET-RELATED CONTRACT TERM ADDITION (11/08). The term of this contract may be adjusted when a drastic reduction in wood product prices has occurred in accordance with 36 CFR 223.52. The Producer Price Index used to determine when a drastic reduction in price has occurred is stated in A20. Purchaser will be notified whenever the Chief determines that a drastic reduction in wood product prices has occurred. If the drastic reduction criteria specified in 36 CFR 223.52 are met for 2 consecutive calendar quarters, after contract award date, Contracting Officer will add 1 year to the contract term, upon Purchaser’s written request. For each additional consecutive quarter such a drastic reduction occurs, Contracting Officer will, upon written request, add an additional 3 months to the term during Normal Operating Season, except that no single 3-month addition shall extend the term of the contract by more than one year. Contracting Officer must receive Purchaser’s written request for a market-related contract term addition before the expiration of this contract. No more than 3 years shall be added to a contract's term by market-related contract term addition unless the following conditions are met:

  • Induction The Employer shall provide a copy of this agreement to newly hired employees within the first thirty (30) days of employment and shall introduce newly hired employees to a Union Shop Xxxxxxx in the workplace. The Shop Xxxxxxx will be given an opportunity, not to exceed fifteen (15) minutes, to talk to the new employee. The new employee and the Shop Xxxxxxx will not have wages or benefits deducted during this time.
