(1) 단위가 시스템인 경우 소켓-한 쌍 및 가상 게스트의 수 또는 (2) 단위가 가상 게스트의 경우 vCPU의 개수를 기준으로 Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server for HPC Compute Nodes, Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server for Power 및 Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server for SAP 등의 변형을 포함한 Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server를 배치, 설치, 사용 또는 실행하는 시스템 별로 적절한 개수 및 유형의 소프트웨어 서브스크립션을 구매해야 한다. “소켓-한 쌍”은 시스템에서 CPU가 각각 점유하는 최대 2개의 소켓이다. “가상 게스트”는 가상 머신으로 시스템에서 실행 또는 설치되는 소프트웨어의 인스턴스이다. 고객이 가상화 환경에 게스트 운영 체제를 배포할 때, 사용하는 제3자 운영 체제 또는 기타 소프트웨어에 대한 라이센스를 확보할 책임은 고객에게 있다. “vCPU”는 소프트웨어가 제공하는 코드를 실행하거나 처리하는 가상 게스트(가상 머신이라고도 함)에 전체 또는 부분적으로 할당되는 코어(부록 1의 정의 참조)이다.
