Recreation Areas. 5.15.1 The University shall maintain continued free public access to trails in the Carolina North Tract. Trails shall be under the management and direction of the Carolina North Office of Forestry Management or its successor.

Recreation Areas. Permission to use any recreation areas, including a playroom and health club, must be in writing. Owner may revoke permission at any time. Tenant must pay all fees imposed by Owner.
Recreation Areas. Recreation areas designed for use by residents or patrons may include indoor areas as well as active outdoor areas. Development of the sidepaths, greenways, sidewalks, natural surface trails, parks and open space areas, consistent with the approved Development Plan shall satisfy all Recreation Area requirements specified by the LUMO. All recreation areas on the west side of Xxxxxx Creek shall comply with all American with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines for accessibility. Any recreation facility located on the east side of Xxxxxx Creek that can be accessed via an ADA-compatible path or drive shall comply with all ADA guidelines for accessibility. However, natural surface trails and other recreation facilities that are remote from ADA parking and access paths will not be required to be ADA accessible. Recreation areas shall include dedicated site furniture including benches, trash receptacles, and lighting unique to specific spaces. Greenways and Sidepaths. The location of greenways and sidepaths for pedestrians and cyclists on the Property will be consistent with Exhibit B. The Town shall make available all easements and permits necessary to construct greenway connections. All greenways and sidepaths shall be built to AASHTO or NACTO standards for the shared use by pedestrians and bicyclists. Alternative standards can be applied in cases where the location of the greenway requires a reduced width or design modification due to building location. The use of alternative standards must be approved by the Town Manager. The Master Owners Association will maintain the greenways and sidepath within the Property under the same operating conditions as Town-owned greenways with regards to maintenance, lighting, and hours of operation, providing that the resurfacing of the same shall be the responsibility of the Town. The Town shall own and maintain the portion of the greenway located on the west side of US Highway 15-501. The Developer Owner or Representative shall grant a public access easement to the Town over all greenways and sidepaths available to the public and permit pedestrian, bicycle, and motorized wheelchair use of the greenway or sidepath. The Town shall have the right to make emergency repairs in the event that the Town determines that the Master Owners Association has not maintained greenways, trails, and sidepaths to the extent needed to assure proper and safe functioning of the facilities.

Recreation Areas. The first floor rec room is a communal space that may be used by all students during residence hall open hours. This room is furnished with foosball, cable television, computers, and a printer for student use.
