Recent and Related Experience. Upon completion of probation, Registered Practical Nurses may be given credit for proven recent and related nursing experience at the discretion of the Employer. Nurses will only receive payment for experience on the payroll following submission of their proof of experience, and if the Employer in its sole discretion decides to recognize that prior experience. For each year of full time experience 1 level on the grid to the maximum; part time experience is 2 years = 1 level on the grid to the maximum.
Recent and Related Experience. For every one (1) year (1950) of recent and related experience, prior to employment with Caressant Care, Woodstock, a Registered Practical Nurse shall advance one (1) step on the wage grid (Schedule A). It is necessary, in all cases for the employee to provide proof of recent and related experience, in writing, on letterhead. The change in rate will go into effect the full pay after proof is provided.

Recent and Related Experience. Employees other than RPN The Employer will recognize recent and related experience for those classifications requiring a certificate, on the basis of one (1) annual increment on the wage grid for each 3600 hours worked, prior to their date of hire, in previous employment in the same job class as that into which such employee has been hired. It shall be the responsibility of a newly hired Employee to provide proof of recent and related experience in order to be considered under this provision and if she fails to do so within ninety (90) days of her original hire date she shall not be entitled to recognition. All employees in the eligible job classes, will be given the benefit, if any, of this provision provided they submit evidence to support their entitlement no later than December 29, 2021. No retroactive adjustments will be made and any increase under this provision will be effective the first pay period following a timely submission of reasonable proof. This provision shall apply to all job classes except in Long Term Care Homes to the Aide, RPN and Maintenance Helper job classes and in the Retirement Homes to the “Aide – Laundry, Housekeeping, Bedmaker, FSA”, FSA, Maintenance Helper and RPN. Recent and Related Experience. A newly hired employee shall have a right at the time of hiring to credit for wage rates at the start rate on the wage schedule for recent and related nursing experience on the basis of one year full-time credit for each 1 year of full-time experience outside the Rekai Centres and 1500 hours of part-time employment equals one (1) year of experience outside the Rekai Centres up to the maximum of the grid. If the nurse does not provide reasonable proof of recent and related experience at the time of hire but does so at a later date, no retroactive adjustments will be made.
