Long Service Leave All employees shall be entitled to long service leave in accordance with the relevant State Legislation. The employer will ensure that any registration necessary for the purposes of portable long service schemes will be undertaken.
Medical Care and Emergency Leave An employee is entitled to a leave of absence without pay because of any of the following:
Volunteer Firefighting Leave Leave without pay will be granted when an employee who is a volunteer firefighter is called to duty to respond to a fire, natural disaster or medical emergency.
Professional Improvement Leave A teacher may be granted leave to be used for the teacher's professional improvement. Professional improvement days may be approved by the superintendent and used for the purpose of:
Industrial Accident Leave 5.8.1 Unit Members will be entitled to industrial accident leave according to the provision in Education Code Section 87787 for personal injury which has qualified for Worker's Compensation under the provisions of the State Compensation Insurance Fund.
Military Service Leave The Employer and the Union agree that the matter of leave of absence for an employee during the period of his/her military service with the armed forces of the United States, and of his/her reinstatement thereafter, shall be governed by applicable statutes.
Diagnosis For a condition to be considered a covered illness or disorder, copies of laboratory tests results, X-rays, or any other report or result of clinical examinations on which the diagnosis was based, are required as part of the positive diagnosis by a physician.
Emergency Service Leave Where employees' services are required for emergency operations by request from Provincial Emergency Programs or appropriate police authority, leave from work as required may be granted without loss of basic pay. If any remuneration, other than for expenses, is received, it shall be remitted to the Employer.
Personal/Carer’s Leave a) Personal/carer’s leave is defined in accordance with Section 244 of the Act and includes paid sick leave (accrued under the AFPCS) and paid or unpaid carer’s leave (accrued under the AFPCS). Casual employees shall have no entitlement to paid personal/carer’s leave.
Virus Management Transfer Agent shall maintain a malware protection program designed to deter malware infections, detect the presence of malware within the Transfer Agent environment.
