Re: Representative Workforce. The parties understand that Aboriginal persons are significantly underrepresented in the health care labour force and that additional actions are needed to promote and facilitate employment of Aboriginal persons in health care occupations at all levels. It is therefore mutually agreed that the undersigned parties will work in cooperation to: (a) Develop strategic initiatives and programs that:  ▇▇▇▇▇▇ mutual respect, trust, fairness, open communication and understanding;  Focus on recruiting, training and career development of Aboriginal workers;  Identify workplace barriers that may be discouraging or preventing Aboriginal workers from entering and remaining in the workforce;  Facilitate constructive race and cultural relations; (b) Promote and publicize initiatives undertaken to encourage, facilitate and support the development of a representative workforce; (c) Implement education opportunities for all employees to promote cultural awareness of Aboriginal peoples. This will include enhanced orientation sessions for new employees to ensure better understanding of respectful work practices to achieve a harassment free environment.
