Radiation Protection. The Contractor conforms to Duvha Power Station Procedure HMS0002 when performing any industrial radiography.
Radiation Protection. Research, regulatory aspects, development of safety xxxx- dards, training and education, particular attention shall be paid to low-dose effects, industrial exposures, forecasting of doses for population and personnel and post-accident management.
Radiation Protection. The parties recognize that a trained pool of "green qualified" members (Construction Radiation Protection Coordinators "RPC's") is critical to project success. The parties will meet annually to review, discuss, and identify potential shortfalls and actions to ensure an adequate supply of qualified labour. The parties agree to work together to provide and maintain training opportunities that are aligned with Project needs.

12.2 While no union has jurisdiction over this role, the employer will undertake to employ RPC’s in general proportion to the craft jurisdiction of the Project in question.
12.3 At the annual meeting referenced in 12.1 above OPGI, Xxxxx Power and the Employers will provide information regarding projected craft requirements (based on established jurisdiction) together with estimated numbers of supporting RPCs. The required training will occur in time so that qualified BTU RPCs will be available in time to support upcoming Projects.
Radiation Protection. While the Seller can offer building design suggestions, the entire responsibilities for meeting all local codes and regulations regarding radiation protection remain with the Buyer. The building and all work areas will comply with all relevant safety standards concerning radiation protection during all phases of construction, installation, testing and operation. The Buyer will be responsible for installation plans of a radiation protection system in accordance with local codes and regulations.
Radiation Protection. The Contractor conforms to the Employer’s procedure HMS0002 when performing any industrial radiography. It is required in terms of the General Administrative Regulation (Regulation 7) of the Act that any manufacturer, importer, seller or supplier of hazardous chemical substances shall supply the receiver, free of charge with sufficient information for the user, to enable the user to introduce the necessary measures as regards the protection of the health and safety of persons. It is therefore the responsibility of the supplier (dealing directly with the Employer) to supply the information. If information is not available for whatever reason, the supplier must indicate and give reasons to the Employer. The Contractor is required to ensure that all goods, services or works supplied in terms of the contract conform to all applicable environmental legislation. Where work is done on the Site, the goods, services or works supplied will also conform to the Employer’s environmental specifications.
Radiation Protection. The Contractor conforms to the Employer’s procedure OMOP 2049 and OMOP 2051 when performing any industrial radiography. All waste introduced to and/or produced on the Employer’s premises, by the Contractor, for this contract, must be handled in accordance with the minimum requirements for the Handling and Disposal of Hazardous Waste in terms of Government Legislation as proclaimed by the Department of Water Affairs and Xxxxxxxx Xxx 0000 Ref.:BN0621-16296-5. The Contractor is responsible to appoint a waste coordinator to ensure that all waste produced is handled according to the applicable legislation. The Contractor is required to ensure that all goods, services or work supplied in terms of the contract conform to all applicable environmental legislation. Where work is done on the Employer’s site, the goods, services or work supplied also conforms to the Employer’s environmental specifications. The Contractor is responsible to contain all waste due to cleaning and maintenance of equipment and disposes of as described below. Waste is removed promptly to the designated deposit areas. No stockpiling is permitted. Waste declared as hazardous substances in terms of the Hazardous Substances Act no 15 of 1973 is the responsibility of the Contractor to ensure safe removal from the property to a registered Class 1 site Application of herbicides shall be in accordance with the Fertilisers, Farm Feeds, Agricultural Remedies and Stock Remedies Act 36 of 194. Incidents related to water pollution must be reported to the Eskom environmental department within 24 hours. Report/fix leaking taps and pipes to save water. Use water sparingly. Chemical substances shall not be disposed of in waste water or storm water drains. Dust suppression measures must be in place to reduce airborne dust. Noxious and offensive odours arising from work activities shall be adequately controlled. Measures to prevent or control ground contamination shall be put in place e.g. drip trays, bund walls. Spill containment, clean-up and ground rehabilitation shall be done as per Tutuka procedures
Radiation Protection. 10.1 The Contractor who will provide contractual performance in the area with ionising radiation (hereinafter referred to as the “IR“), is obliged to follow especially the following generally binding regulations:
10.2 The Contractor may enter and perform contractual performance in the environment with IR and in CZ based on “Entry permit to the CZ”.
10.3 The Contractor shall cooperate at the issuance of “R” orders by means of the SE’s authorized person or Contract Manager pursuant to SE regulations. Contractor undertakes to follow:
10.4 The Contractor is obliged to prove the health capability of their personnel working in the CZ and observe the rules for monitoring internal and external exposure.
10.5 Prior to the start of activities in the controlled zone, the Contractor shall provide the SE's Radiation Protection unit
10.6 Violation of radiation protection rules or loss of health capability of Contractor’s personnel for execution of contractual performance in environment with IR will result in removal of entry permit to the CZ from the Contractor’s personnel by SE.
10.7 The Personnel shall permanently carry individual dosimetry control means with them, they are obliged not to allow their contamination, loss or damaging; the means may be stored on determined places only.
10.8 At execution of contractual performance with ionizing radiation sources (x-ray instruments, high-level emitters for defectoscopic purposes, closed and open radiators with activity greater than deliberation level), the Contractor shall observe operational and emergency plans of defectoscopy workplace and the instructions of staff from the Radiation Protection unit. The performance of works with the indicated ionising radiation sources outside the controlled zone must be notified to the Radiation Protection unit of the respective plant at least 24 hours before the start of works.
10.9 The Contractor shall observe the rules defined for passage via hygienic loop and entry to/departure from the Controlled zone, as well as procedure for removal of the surface contamination from the body and clothing
10.10 Any material, tools or fixtures may be taken out from the Controlled zone only after their radiation inspection carried out by the measuring devices and after meeting the criteria for day removal.

If the Contractor´s personnel has no domicile in the SR, the Contractor is obliged to ensure that he presents SE a personal radiation card issued in the country of domicile or other document of the personal doses.
