Quantitative definition

Quantitative means, in the context of a vegetation sampling program and/or evaluation of sampling data, that the program and/or evaluation processes are conducted using statistical analyses of numerical data derived from defined sampling regimes.
Quantitative means the number and type of documents required to make the filing substantially complete, as defined in the regulations of the commissioner, without regard to the content of those requirements.
Quantitative means that the method is intended to produce numerical results (analyte concentration or other quantity) and an estimate of the associated measurement uncertainty (4).

Quantitative means data in numerical quantities such as continuous measurements or counts e.g. percentile or rates.
Quantitative. , here, means ‘estimated or estimable by quantity’. ‘Qualitative’, its opposite, relates to quality - ‘the character (or) nature (of persons or things)’ (SOED).
Quantitative means that the results are scientifically valid and can be applied to a large group. For instance, a quantitative telephone study that interviews 100 individuals will yield results that can then be applied to a group of 2,000. “Qualitative” refers to studies that deliver information about how participants feel about a product or issue, their emotional responses, opinions, experiences and other subjective data. In addition, the Board retains the discretion to reduce or eliminate the compensation or economic benefit due upon attainment of Performance Goals and to define the manner of calculating the Performance Criteria it selects to use for such Performance Period. Partial achievement of the specified criteria may result in the payment or vesting corresponding to the degree of achievement as specified in the Stock Award Agreement or the written terms of a Performance Cash Award.

  • Business Criteria means any one or any combination of Income before Taxes, Net Income, Return on Equity, Return on Assets, Pre-tax Margin, Free Cash Flow, Valuation or EPS.
