QTP AND ATP Clause Samples
The "QTP and ATP" clause defines the processes for Qualifying Test Procedure (QTP) and Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) in a contract, typically relating to the testing and approval of products or systems before final acceptance. Under this clause, the supplier must demonstrate that the delivered goods or systems meet specified performance criteria through QTP, which is often conducted in a controlled environment, followed by ATP, which verifies performance under actual or simulated operational conditions. This clause ensures that only products or systems that have successfully passed both testing phases are accepted, thereby reducing the risk of defects and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
QTP AND ATP. TRACOR shall fabricate and test the PRODUCT in accordance with test procedures to be jointly developed and approved by STI and TRACOR. The PARTIES anticipate that one standard QTP (to be defined by the PARTIES) will apply to all or most PRODUCT manufactured, and a standard ATP (to be defined by the PARTIES) will apply to each customer's order. However, the PARTIES recognize that unique tests may be required by some customers, and that customer-specific ATP's will be developed in such circumstances.
