PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT. The assignment hereunder is constituted in order to secure the prompt and complete satisfaction of any and all Obligations. The assignment shall also cover any future extension of the Obligations and the Assignor herewith expressly agrees that the assignment shall secure the Obligations as extended or increased from time to time.

PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT. Within the framework of this project, UNESCO-UNEVOC is seeking professional services of a senior-level International Consultant to act as Senior Project Advisor and support the work of UNESCO-UNEVOC. The Consultant is expected to provide project leadership, thematic expertise and overall guidance towards effective implementation of the i-hubs initiative. The goal is to support institutional capacity development of TVET schools to enable them become effective hubs for developing skills for innovation.
PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT. The main purpose of the consultancy is to develop the M&E plan that will accompany the project Action Plan together with the project Log Frame to facilitate the effective monitoring of the programme. In addition, he/she will provide overall guidance and technical support for monitoring and evaluation activities across the full range of work of the Project consortia, oversee the effective monitoring, and ensure full compliance with the organizational policies, procedures and standards. The consultant will work under the overall guidance of the Project coordinator and will regularly interact with relevant staff and project partners. The consultancy service will be performed mainly homebased with several meetings/trips to targeted municipalities and targeted beneficiaries. The respect external M&E expertise is recruited for the purpose to provide technical support for the project team, as well as do activities and results-based monitoring all along the project period. The consultant will bring technical advice on activities implementation, intervention methodology, project steering and achieved results; he/she will also help the project team in identifying potential lacks and suggest necessary recommendations for readjusting activities, target groups choice or work of organization related to the project. Beyond assessment, his/her intervention will aim at coaching project management and professionals on development of a sustainable and specific follow-up/evaluation system for the project. The consultant will have to master a double expertise, in: social inclusion of marginalized communities and project cycle management emphasizing the M&E pillar. the Consultant/firm will intervene about one day per month consecutively in 35 months. The M&E intervention will include development of tools for monitoring by setting up: The time table of activities, Performance indicators / segregated and quantified data based on gender; Development of Cross-cutting indicators if needed with segregation of data; / if necessary; Data collection system including development of timeline and appointment of persons who will collect the xxxx.Xxxx analyzing and processing will be done by the M&E consultant/firm in coordination with the project team. After the development of the Monitoring tools, the online training will be done by the M&E consultant to introduce the team with the monitoring tool that needs to be utilized during the whole action.
PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT. The contractor shall provide specialized expertise to deliver a training of 10 working days in the field of safety and security at the worksite. The training will be divided in two parts; one will take place during the last two weeks of April 2019, before the implementation of the slope consolidation works planned in the framework of the project, while the second part will take place during the second week of June 2019, right before the start of the works. The training should be tailored to a heterogeneous audience of trainees who might have different backgrounds and limited or no specific experience in the field of safety and security. The training, to be implemented both in the field and through class based sessions, shall provide the trainees with the general principles of safety and security at the worksite, information on risk management, works planning and organization and the correct practices to adopt. The training shall be also related, where possible, to the specific activities foreseen as part of this project, with a focus on the measures, the equipment (supported by sample equipment elements to be shown) and the behaviours to adopt in this specific project case, in terms of safety and security. The training program should include at least the following components: Legislative context The main regulations, at international and national level, in the field of safety and security at the worksite (below a tentative and non-exhaustive list): - International level o ISO 45001:2018 - National level o Labour Code, No. 8 of 1996 o Regulation No. 43 of 1998 o Instructions on “Industrial accidents and occupational diseases”, issued by the Social Security Authority under s. 12 of the Social Security Act, 1987 (No. 30) o Ministerial Order of 2011, concerning occupations that are dangerous of tiring or harmful to the health of youth Worksite organization Organization and planning of the worksite in terms of operations, arrangements, people and materials (this shall include security planning, inspection and validation of materials and equipment through technical documentation, verification of personnel documentation).

Within the framework of the Programme "Innovation and Leadership in Curriculum, Learning and Assessment", UNESCO-IBE seeks services of a consultant to contribute to the implementation of IBE focus areas "Critical and Current Issues in Curriculum, Learning and Assessment", and in particularly to the design and implementation of innovative interventions and strategies to address critical and emerging challenges on STEM education. This will entail a mix of knowledge production and dissemination on trends/issues and guidelines/prototypes/frameworks, field projects relating to policy, curricular, pedagogical and teacher education issues and cutting-edge capacity• development addressed to diversity of stakeholders.

PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT. − The overall purpose of the trends mapping study is to improve the understanding and identify factors shaping TVET teaching in context of global disruptions. It will investigate global trends in TVET teaching, looking at trends in teaching methods, new competencies, curricula, content, training format, etc. The study will examine the role of institutions from the perspective of: (i) key competencies in implementing vocational programmes in green jobs, digitalization, entrepreneurship and education for sustainable development; and (ii) institutional (national/regional/global) arrangements - exist and required - to fill these skills and capacity gaps. PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT. The purpose of this assignment is to provide technical assistance to the UNESCO Office in Doha in implementing the above-mentioned activities. The incumbent shall ensure the smooth implementation of the Cultural Diversity Festival, further elaborate the concepts of the regional conference(s) and national workshops, and implement them, and evaluate the outcome to be reported back to the donor.
