The purpose of this agreement is to set forth terms and conditions which the Web Services Employer will follow while participating in E-Verify. A Web Services Employer is an Employer who verifies employment authorization for its newly hired employees using a Web Services interface.
Purpose and Authority. The purpose of the Labor Management Committee (LMC) is to recommend solutions to workplace concerns, which include, but are not limited to: (1) identifying processes that will lead to improved service delivery and efficiency; and (2) addressing staff training needs. The LMC will have no authority over matters within the scope of representation or matters subject to the grievance procedure and will not interfere with or erode Management Rights as enumerated in this Agreement. The LMC may establish additional subcommittees as agreed upon to work on these and other issues of mutual interest.

The purpose of this agreement is to promote and improve relations between the City, its employees and the F.O.P. in order to provide the most efficient police service to the citizens of the City of Lewiston. It is recognized by the parties that the city is under no legal obligation to bargain with the F.O.P. or to enter into this agreement, but that it does so voluntarily for the purposes stated above.
